The Original Zapper Lightgun for NES is a pistol-shaped electronic lightgun that was released in 1985 as part of the original Nintendo Entertainment System. The Japanese iteration was a realistic representation of a revolver-style hand weapon; in North America it was released in the form of a science fiction jet weapon, which was also incorporated into the design of the NES.

The early versions of the original Zapper Lightgun for NES were gray, later the color was changed to neon orange / red because federal laws were passed in the United States prohibiting toy guns that resemble real guns. The Original Zapper Lightgun for NES allowed players to aim at the television and hit targets in the game. Different games used different goals; for example, the player can shoot ducks, clay pigeons and many other targets. The original Zapper Light Gun for NES has a trigger function with a characteristic ' Päng ' -Geräusch when it is pulled.
